My Money Conflict
I need $60, and fast! I am dancing in Disney World in the fall and I need $60 to buy a jacket. I am not the greatest at saving money but I must have the money by Thanksgiving. My dance teacher said that I must have a jacket or else I cannot go. I do not have any money right now so I could not use my own money. Since my mom and dad are paying for the rest of the trip, they said I need to pay for the jacket. I need to find some logical and speedy ways to earn the $60 to solve my money conflict!

An idea I have is to hold a tasty bake sale. I would set up my stand at the entrance of our circle where my family lives. I would ask my little sister Julia to help me. I could sell lip-smacking red velvet cupcakes, melt-in-your-mouth triple chocolate brownies, and fresh lemonade. The delicious cupcakes and delectable brownies could be sold the baked goods for 50 cents and the refreshing lemonade for 25 cents. My sister and I love to bake so this could be a terrific solution.

I could do this solution multiple times. One time I could sell cupcakes and brownies and the next week I could sell sugar cookies and chocolate cookies. Also it would not require a lot of money to start the business. All I need is the table from my basement, the ingredients to make the baked goods, and the lemonade. The last thing I would need is our wagon to take the things to the entrance of our circle to sell them. Because I did not spend much to get started I would make a larger profit.

Another idea I have is to ask my parents to pay me an allowance for doing extra chores around the house. I have a list of possible chores I could do. 1) Do the laundry and get $1 for each load I do. 2) I feed both my adorable dog, Sasha, and my lovable cat, Misty, every day and get $5 each week. 3) I could organize our basement all by myself and get $5 for it. 4) I could set and clear the dinner table each evening for $2 each day, $1 for setting and $1 for clearing. This could be a terrific solution for me and my parents. I would earn money and my parents would have a cleaner house, less things to do, and they would have more time to get their work done. Also I do not only have to do the chores I listed. I could do any chores that need to be done like cleaning the bathroom, taking out the garbage, or emptying the dishwasher.

I need $60 to buy a jacket to go to Disney World in the fall. I don't have any money and my parents won't buy it for me. I've figured out two fantastic solutions to solve my problem. I could either hold a bake sale or get an allowance from my parents. My parents could help me decide which solution they prefer. I should have the $60 in no time. Looks like I will not be cold in Florida anymore!
